Theatre31 Taster Workshops

Free online drama fun!

Workshops for your students, specially created for spring 2021 and COVID-19 compliant

Theatres might be closed and drama groups postponed however; at Theatre31 we are passionate about connecting young people with drama. We can work alongside you and your school in order to bring free and fun drama workshops to your pupils!

The session opens with fun warm up games that the young people can easily access from behind their desks, depending on your set up. Our games include ‘icebreaker’ approaches, aimed to encourage interaction between your group in a Covid-19 compliant way.

The session continues with improvisational tasks and drama specific games that encourage imagination and play, bringing stories to life but most importantly, creating fun.

We can deliver a generic drama session based on our skills and expertise, or something that is specifically curriculum bases or themed focused. We will tailor make a session for your group, anything is possible!

Who Delivers the session

Meet James and Lily our professional and energetic Facilitators!

  • How: zoomed live into your classroom, either on your class smart board or other IT set up.
  • Length: up to 45 minutes however; if you require something shorter or longer we can adapt our workshop to your needs.
  • When: delivered during school hours and we are taking bookings from now. You name the time and we will be there!
The children were a little nervous to begin with, but Theatre31 did a great job of making the children feel comfortable and you could see their confidence grow within the session! The session was engaging and interactive and the team did a great job of making the children feel really involved.”

Creating in lockdown

We are aware at Theatre31 that zoom fatigue is a real thing! Although our current youth theatre is happening online, we are constantly adapting what we do to ensure the sessions are fun and engaging. Currently, this means working on specific projects – so we can focus our energy on smaller pockets of time. This makes everything a bit more accessible for everyone!

Because Theatre31 is an arts project with no walls, we are flexible and super adaptable. We are finding ways to deliver our programme in a Covid world which is fun, safe and creative. Our Covid-19 information & guidelines.
